SRA Alumni, Megan Freestone, trained with SRA for over 10 years before leaving to complete her degree in Film Production. She graduated from Solent University with a First Class honours and the aspiration to work professionally behind the camera.
Out of hundreds of applicants and many rounds of interviews, Megan secured a place on The CallTime Company’s highly selective foundations scheme. The scheme runs every year to help new entrants to the industry get their first jobs in high-end TV and studio feature films – entrants are placed with companies like Warner Bros, Marvel, and brands like PlayStation.
Over the past few months, she has been working in the art department designing and building sets for a series of commercials for Pro Evolution Sport’s new PlayStation games. Last month, Megan built an underwater set for a new short film called “Becoming Everything” which is due to be released early next year.
Megan is now represented by the crewing agency as one of their trainees.
SRA is so proud of all you have achieved, we look forward to seeing the set of Becoming Everything soon.
