Fábia was born in São Paulo (Brazil) where she completed the RAD Ballet syllabus until Advanced 2. She became a certified teacher at the Escuela Nacional de Ballet de Lá Republica of Cuba and completed her training at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York.

Fábia was awarded the title of Principal Dancer at the Centro Prodanza ballet school in Cuba. At the International Dance Seminar in Brasilia, she won a scholarship for Star Studio of Vancouver.

She has performed professionally with a number of renowned companies, including: Dance2000, Company Brasileira de Danças Clássica (where she also acted as Assistant Director), and the Dance Company of Sao Jose dos Campos as both a dancer and teacher.

As well as being a successful performer, Fábia has been taught classical ballet to various levels for 23 years in schools around South America, China and England. Many of her students have gone on to join professional companies and perform at international ballet competitions, such as: YAGP-NYC, Prix Lausanne, Gene Competition, Star Dance and others. 

In 2019, Fabia became a member of the International Council (CID - UNESCO) and an Associate Royal Academy of Dance Examiner.
